Ryan started to read with his parents when he was much younger. He became a passionate reader after helping his two younger siblings learn to read. Ryan believes that people mostly read to experience things they cannot experience in reality. He uses reading as a way to see and imagine things he could not before. Ryan thinks that a good reader is someone who can let a book change the way they think either for a moment or forever. Ryan finds reading easiest when he is reading a book that takes place somewhere he can never go. Reading becomes more difficult for Ryan when the subject of a story is too close to him. When Ryan looks for a book he looks for something that will be exciting and in most cases fiction. To him, a good book uses a lot of imagination. With the increase in quality of technology in his home, Ryan has difficulty finding time to read. Ryan wishes he would not get distracted and would read more often. He believes that reading is a very healthy brain exercise and that most people would be better off if they read.
Ryan does not consider writing his strongest attribute. He believes people learn to write when they find a subject that makes them passionate enough to really care about what they are writing. He thinks people write to share a piece of themselves with the world. He believes that writing is very similar to painting, it is creating something to add to the world work. Ryan knows that in order to write well someone must have a large vocabulary and excellent grammar. He thinks writing also takes a passion on the subject, and that the best works have feeling behind them. Ryan does not consider himself a writer, but on occasion he does some writing. Ryan's favorite kind of writing is creative writing, he enjoys creating a story or a script the most. For Ryan, inspiration comes in everyday life, if he sees someone act in a funny way he considers that they could be a character in a story. Writing is not one of Ryan's hobbies, unless he is struck with an idea he does not tend to write at home. Ryan does not consider himself an award winning writer. Ryan's writing can get his point across, but it does not do much beyond that. |
